I’m talking about Celestino’s! I realized that I have posted a lot of junk vegetarian foods on here and I will probably continue that theme. After all, I like to splurge when I go out. I can make plenty of healthy stuff at home. Now with that disclaimer out of the way, I can take a moment to say how much I appreciate the pint special at Celestino’s. For under $7 I can get a giant slice of pizza (the kind you absolutely have to fold in half) and a pint of beer. There are usually around five or six different pizzas to choose from with no shortage of vegetarian toppings. Then they carry four beers on tap, all Sierra Nevada of course because we are in Chico. For my underage friends, they also have soda and that will run you a little cheaper too.
I take this place for granted. I go here a few times a week since it’s only a five minute walk from Holt Hall, where I have most of my classes. I go here so much that I get don’t have to have my ID checked anymore. I am not recommending that anyone make this a habit like I have. Pizza and beer are not healthy. It is a perfect New York style pizza though. It has a thin, chewy crust. The toppings are always unique and flavorful. This time I got the olive special which has olives, artichoke hearts, and fresh basil. The Godfather is another favorite, which has pesto.
I was always wanting to try a cannoli from them but usually forgot or chickened out. This time, I finally went for it. My knowledge on what a cannoli is supposed to taste like is pretty slim, but I was a big fan. For those who are uninitiated, the filling isn’t very sweet like you might suspect. I didn’t get that sugary sick feeling afterwards. The shell is crispy. You get to choose from a topping of either slivered almond or chocolate chips. By the way, I have stepped up my game with taking pictures of the food. I was falling down on my job before, but I am making more of a habit of it now.

Now everyone knows my guilty pleasure which I honestly give into a few times per week. Celestino’s is a staple for fast pizza that tastes good. I recommend going there, but don’t go as much as I do.
